Description

The pedestrian signal for the Freedom Park PATH at Boulevard is not functioning properly. All other pedestrian signals at this intersection change automatically with the traffic signal, but the east/west signal at the southern end of the intersection (controlling bike/pedestrian traffic on the PATH) does not. Further, there are no loop detectors embedded in the pavement to detect bicycles. If arriving at the intersection on a green light, cyclists must either proceed against the "Don't Walk" signal, or must press the pedestrian signal button and wait for a full cycle (4-5 minutes) before receiving a "Walk" signal.
