Description
Today I had special visitors to my house. One of the visitors mentioned on how dirty my neighborhood was and questioned if the city did anything to beautify around here.
So, as soon as my guests left I went out and clean the sidewalks and the streets myself. I had a large janitors broom, my snow shovel and my rolling trash barrel.
I blame (in large part) the liquor store (Fernandez bros), Dunkin donuts and the city (for lack of trash containers around the city.
After an hour and a half, my block is fully cleaned just waiting for it to be trashed once again.

I do want to say that I did clean up my sidewalk prior to the visitors showing up.
DPW said (in another closed ticket) that they would be installing solar trash compactors mid august. Its almost at the end of the month and still nothing.
I also agree on a comment that was made on another issue related to trash on our streets. These street sweepers seem to do more of a mess than good. Sweeping trash from one part of the city to another is NOT practical.
Moderators keeping track of these issues, please forward this request to City Manager Ash:
Adopt the same rules for liquor stores throughout the city as the ones imposed for the liquor store in bellingham square. Impose fines to businesses who neglect their store fronts.
Train the city police to NOT look away when people are trashing our parks & streets.
