Most of the city looks like that. As for trash cans, on the greens downtown there are more (ugly) plastic barrels then there are people, and yet you could walk around town
and not find one for blocks. And worse, downtown you'll often see trash cans with full plastic bags of garbage lying on the sidewalk next to them, sometimes 2 & 3 bags.

This is still a problem. I am hopeful it will improve:

1. Town Green is starting a program in May where they will provide job training to a group of folks which will include maintenance of this area.
2. DWSCMT / Yale Day of Service are having a work day on Saturday, May 10 (9 - 11:30 am) to clean up the area some. Everyone welcome to come and help.

If the City can do better street sweeping here though, that would be great.
