This is NOT a park. It's on the sidewalk along a railroad fence. There is nothing park-like about it.
This is a dark stretch of street with overhanging trees on the route from Union Station to Wooster Square. No one in their right mind would stand there and look at this and call it a park.
The dog park is at least 100 yards away at the other end of the block, the light from the dog park does nothing to illuminate this area/

I went to the area this morning and found the two poles in question further south from where the map indicated (not your fault, but a common SCF issue I find). In fact, neither of those poles appear on any documentation we have, nor could I learn any of the history about them. There is no power to the base of either of those poles (meaning they are broken or disconnected underground somewhere), the light fixtures are gone, and the wiring appears to be in poor condition. A UI crew who was working on the manholes at the corner of Union and Fair indicated they did not show an underground feed to those lights on the maps they had on hand.
I will follow up with UI some more to see if we can dig up any more information on the poles. In the meantime, I will look into alternatives for casting some light on the seating area, presuming it is City-owned.
If the feeds are broken, it is a very expensive project to tear up the area and install new feeds, above and beyond the regular maintenance budget of the street lighting division. Thank you for your understanding on this issue, as it appears to be a bit of a treasure hunt.

We are delineating Street Lamp issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to Dec 31, 2015 are being closed. If your Street Lamp issue still needs to be addressed, please create a new issue by selecting the Street Lamp service request in SeeClickFix. Providing a pole number and/or a more precise location is important. Once your issue is submitted, the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department will acknowledge the issue and create a maintenance/repair work order.
