Description

The corner(s) of Williams Lake road and Airport need an over-haul. The light for Williams Lake rd westbound at Airport Rd. North, needs a right turn lane - this would cut down rush hour back-up by a bunch. The light for Williams Lake westbound at Airport Rd south needs a designated left turn only lane (I'm tired of getting flipped off for turning left because the person behind me doesn't understand the way this intersection works) - same thing applies for Williams Lake eastbound at Airport Rd north, a designated left turn only lane would be very helpful.

In addition - there is a very popular icecream shop and 7-11 at this corner, where many people walk and ride bikes to. This area is not pedestrian friendly AT ALL. There need to be crosswalks and sidewalks that are curb free so that people with wheelchairs, strollers, bikes, etc can cross the street safely.

There is also a closed up gas station (10 yrs atleast) and a closed down bank (15yrs?) at this intersection. They are poorly maintained and look trashy. Can we clean this corner up? A small park where the bank is and let the dental office expand their parking lot where the gas station is, like mentioned in the paper, would be lovely - and possibly a small neighborhood grocery store in the huge vacant field at that corner as well? Or bring the fairs back to this field? Something?
