Description

Cars use 1st St SE as cut-through to bypass S Cap traffic and during Nats games, frequently exceed speed limit and ignore stop signs. 4-lane section especially hazardous to pedestrians and is not consistent with residential neighborhood character. Speed table, street narrowing, or other traffic calming near 1st/L needed to improve safety.
