A lot of the traffic is from cars seeking to avoid the traffic lights on Rt 80 and Eastern St., more than likely on their way to East Haven. They accelerate on the open stretches and it is very treacherous for pedestrians.

The city never finished widening Hemingway St 35 years ago, left it a mess. Maybe if the Buses from the bus company go down the wide side there wouldn't be such a mess at Quinnipiac and Hemingway St. Good luck with sidewalks when Quinnipiac Ave a much busier street don't have curbs on allot of it.

definitively needed. Also , across from Engine 17 on east grade ave. The side walk next to woods needs to be repaired so people can walk. it seems like it always has heavy debris and not good walking area on it so people walk in street instead of sidewalk. I hope the city cleans that up.
