Description

We have lived at 2125 Elliott Drive for the last 43 years. NEVER has the creek that we live next to looked so bad. Moreover, we have been concerned for the past several years about flooding due to the lack of maintenance of the creek. I understand about some threatened frog, but this does not constitute the neglect to property that has been shown. According to the Fire Protection District, we are considered NOT to be in a flood zone...however, this creek has flooded in the past twice, and that was when the creek could flow. I am attaching photos that I have taken just the other day. This is anticipation of the upcoming rainy season. City Administration in the past has addressed this creek, but no longer has shown any interest to the welfare of the homes adjacent to this creek, at least at the Elliott Drive end. I just need to know who to sue, in the event that there is a flood, due in part to the creek not being allowed to flow properly...the City of American Canyon or the Department of Fish and Game?
