I agree. Turning into the left hand turn lane from PondView to eastbound 18 Mile is dangerous because the lane narrows down to nothing at that point. Area residents have tried for years to get a light at that intersection but have had no success.

I agree with the majority that a traffic light is needed,in the mean time it will help a lot if Pondview street on the south side be marked into two lanes the left side of the two lanes dedicated exclusively for vehicles to turn left to east bound 18 mile road,many time peoples trying to turn right to west bound 18 mile rd can not do that because the vehicle in the front sits in the middle of the single lane .the only marking that we have is the concrete gap created by by two adjacent pavements,i have lived in this area since 1990 it was easy before but the traffic is getting worse and more congested as more houses were built.This intersection is very dangerous even coming home on west 18 mile road and trying to turn left into pondview the center lane is narrow and traffic heading east always seem that they are going to hit you at the last moment especially at night it seems that a tragic accident is waiting to happen .City of Sterling Hts especially traffic engineers have to do something right away ,any one that might die at that intersection due to the bad design will be the fault of the city.

This certainly does not need a traffic light.
