Description

In the splash park area, under the high blue feature, there is black algae growing that has led to the development of seriously slippery conditions, to the point that, either with or without water shoes/barefoot, is going to lead to a very bad injury, as it is comparable to black ice conditions, especially since toddlers come to play here, and I have had to warn other caregivers, as it is not easily noticable, and I have witnessed some semi serious scrapes occur. It seems like the park has fallen into serious neglect, as I have also observed a swamplike area develop on the opposite side of the splash park, near the bathrooms, over the past year, that has resulted in insect infestations, mostly mosquitos, and tiny black minges.... the free standing, poorly drained area is a health hazard, as well as being consistently 3-5 inches deep, and it is in the direct path from the parking area, so it is unavoidable for those who are there for the splash area, specifically.
