Have police/UPS/USPS been alerted? I recall something like this going on last year. Are the remnants being returned to the intended recipients so that they know?
This was a problem awhile ago with a friend of mine. Keep an eye out for a white older truck, elder driver with one or two younger men beside him. This was the last suspicious detail from the last time this was posted. There is no conclusive evidence that this particular vehicle is doing this, just suspected. So keep an eye out for any vehicle as well.

I spoke with Lt.Marty Tchkarides though he's out. He is alerting folks in the department though. Another package turned up yesterday on Vista Terrace that was taken from Alden. So the target area is near the Bowl and the 'escape' route seems to be up Edgewood Ave through Vista/Marvelwood, where and someone in the car rifles through the box and tosses it out the window. Folks in the Vista Terrace area might be vigilant as well to see the cars that come through.
By chance were the stolen packages delivered by UPS? I watched the UPS guy place packages on the very tip of my neighbors stoop. He literally could not put the packages any closer to the sidewalk. He did the same thing to my packages. The second time I came home and found my packages stacked on the very end of my porch I called UPS and complained. They told me he was a 'seasonal driver' and not the usual UPS driver. UPS assured me they would place packages either in the back of my property or at the very least out of site from the sidewalk. I placed the call on Dec 21st.
It is highly suspected that someone is following the UPS/FedEx. My friend saw the UPS guy come up to her porch and deliver a package through a window, she had to tend to her kids. When she finally went to get her package 15 minutes later, it was gone. A similar thing happened with FedEx across the street.
