Description

Under the bridge of I-485 on NC 51, there are no sidewalks and no safe place for pedestrians to walk under the bridge. They are forced to walk in the travel lanes or the merging lanes coming off of I-485. People coming off of the interstate are looking in their side view mirrors to merge into NC 51, could easily overlook a pedestrian, and not see him or her until it's too late. Especially at night. Also in this area, I see lots of pedestrians walking with their backs to traffic. Especially here, police should ticket pedestrians who do not walk facing traffic, or at least try to correct them.
