Still no enforcement or change!

My experience in this area is if you do 35 people act like you are breaking the law. Sped up to 40 and they pass you like your afraid to go as fast as them. Speed up to 45 they have to get their front end ahead of you because you might get there first. I hate to think at what speed the stupidity stops!
This area used to be 40MPH until there was someone going to Bethel HS and was running late. If I remember correctly he was going almost 70MPH when he lost control of the car just past the DQ and ran into the field and his girlfriend lost her life. The answer was not to enforce the speed limit but to lower it and have fewer police in the area. Typical government knee jerk reaction that fixes nothing and improves nothing!

close this blog. Police traffic is a fluid concern. No Police dept is going to set up a permanent speed check/trap/enforcement zone anywhere. The cops will monitor it to the extent you can pay for such
Papawolf
Don't need a permanent speed trap but an occasional one would be nice. They can afford to put an officer at Liberty on Sundays so the Liberty members can get in and out of the parking lot. You would think they could afford to put someone somewhere on the road to protect the children and other motorist on the road.
Keep the blog open, 1alpha isn't in charge of you. He might be a city employee???
Papawolf
Alpha is mad at the site, he is going around telling everyone to close the blog. I think he is affected by the posts here and wants everyone to stop doing their civic duty!!!

I'm pretty sure Liberty pays for an officer at their corner on Sundays. Just sayin...

Roger you are correct. Churches/groups which have very large groups can hire support to cover their "private" functions for traffic/security concerns. Same as Bethel Temple used to/does/did. Answers to thoughts such as these can be found by participation in the city/volunteer type forums conducted by the city. One does not need to be a city worker to find answers to questions, nor find out how city services/systems operate. Often when one finds out how much is involved in a service, one finds out how simple it is not to accomplish services. It is easy to accuse harder to preform beyond a blog level.
