The lights on Oak could and should be set so that a safe speed will allow a vehicle to avoid having to stop at all the lights as a fuel saving issue. The lights on Biddle downtown are even worse. Must be part of the DBA's plans to make you look at all the shops while wasting fuel.
Vote yes, when on Oak Street the timing is very horrible. Also, the ones at 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 12th and 17th Streets are 8 inch dinosaurs and most of the pedestrian signals at 12th are still the worded version (the only one with symbols is the one on the northeast corner). The ones at Fort and the ones at Biddle are up-to-date with 12 inches and symbolized pedestrian signals. The ones at the railroad are also 12 inches. That set is usually green, but when there is a train nearby it turns yellow and then red, 5-10 seconds later the gates come down. Example: You are heading east on Oak Street and you are at 17th, light is green. By the time you get to 12th the light there is red.
