Description

At this intersection, the lanes that head West are fine, except that there is never an advance left turn light like the East bound lanes have, but my main issue is the lanes that head East. There are two straight through lanes when there should only be one! The right hand lane ends as soon as the intersection is crossed, making it very dangerous for the traffic in the left lane. The right lane is not long enough for anyone to merge properly. Some people decide that they are to important to wait in the left lane traffic and decide to speed their way through the intersection and cut people off. I have had to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision on three occasions and have witnessed many others do the same. I have a three year old and a six month old and I would very much like to keep them safe. It seems that the road will be made into a four lane in the near future, but I am asking that the right lane be blocked until the construction is over so that we don't have to worry about getting into an avoidable accident. Thank you.
