I've seen several close calls at this site since Bridgeview reopened. Also large boat and trailer rigs turning left onto S. River can wait a long time for a safe opening in S. River traffic occurs so they can make their turn safely.

There is not much traffic. The intersection had a single light before, flashing red for bridgeview and flashing yellow for S.river. I don't know why the MCRC wasted money for a full traffic light.

There is going to be a fatl accident here if this is not fixed!

Because it appears the light will not be put back. Some people want it, some don't. Hopefully no one is seriously injured there. I'll continue to avoid it during peak hours.

If the MCRC engineer would just spend a few weekend hours observing this intersection on a nice busy summer weekend day they would make it fully operational very quickly. Statistics from traffic counters are irrelevant because of the unique nature of the traffic at Bridgeview and Souith River Road.
Oh! Sorry I forgot that these are the lazy ones that are only paid to work 9-5 Monday through Friday. They haven't got the get up and go to work a few weekend days. Maybe Mark Hackel will change this process for the better.
