The City of Petaluma has received your email, which was forwarded to us by the Argus Courier. Due to budget cutbacks, only one electrical technician is currently on staff to maintain our entire inventory of street light fixtures. As a result, the City is experiencing a backlog of reported outages, which are repaired in the order requests are received. Unfortunately, this means that we are unable at this time to give you an estimated repair date. We apologize for any delay, but will attend to the problem as promptly as is possible. Thank you for your patience, and for bringing this outage to our attention.
I understand the city cut-backs, but this is getting frustrating because the light goes on & off throughout the night and it is right outside our bedroom window. It is very distracting because it either totally off, on half way or flickering. Grant School as well as our surrounding neighborhoods have been getting vandalized a lot lately and would hate to see something happen to our street let alone our property.
