I am sorry to hear about the permanent encampments in your neighborhood. It has been my experience that nothing will be done about it. As for your safety I have also learned you are on you own in SF. However we have been working with an organization called SF Safe. We are Organizing a neighborhood watch program for Market Van Ness. The folks at Safe Were Great. We are hoping to get more attention paid to the area in the hope of getting more Police presence in the area. This can also lead to more attention to the area so we get more services to help get these folks off the street. It is a long process but it can be Successful if we can get enough folks involved.
We at 77 Van Ness are having a meeting in July with London Breed our area Sup. these issues will be talked about during the meeting. I will post the date and time here when it is finalized. You are more then welcome to come.
