The problem has gotten even worse. More and more very large trucks are parking on Via Las Cumbres making it even more difficult to see oncoming traffic when pulling out of Friars Village. Also that street is not wide enough for parked vehicles and moving traffic.

I was in this area today. There is a 35 mile per hour sign at the top of the hill as you first turn on to Via Las Cumbres southbound from Linda Vista Road.

I also checked for large trucks parked that would obstruct the view of oncoming traffic when exiting Friars Village community and didn't see any.

Is this still a problem? Are there times of day or days of week when it is more of a problem?

If there is a speed sign it is new.I reported this to my councilman's office several months ago and he agreed that there was no sign. So now it must be enforced. Cars speed down the hill at high speeds. Also the large trucks parked on Las Cumbres come and go. I can't give any particular times or days.

There is a new speed limit sign at the corner but no one sees it because they are busy making the turn onto Via Las Cumbres. It needs to be further down the street not right at the corner. Also with the new law prohibiting trucks from parking on city streets that has ceased to be a problem.What is still a problem is the speeding down the hill on Via Las Cumbres.So far there doesn't seem to be any enforcement of the 35 mile an hour speed limit.
