This is a small lake. A child could drown in it as it is several inches deep. It is there almost all spring thru summer acting as a mosquito breeding ground. I backed into it the other day and killed a trout.
Thank you Rob. I have been wondering why there had been no response from the board of Ed. I hope this gets addressed before the damage get much worse. It pretty bad and effecting a lot if people during the school year and private property's.
Location... rear of Q school 3"-12" of standing water. When dry its still easy to locate. The north west corner where the sediment broken asphalt and weeds are.
We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to 2013 are being closed. If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please either re-open or open as a new See Click Fix issue. Thanks.
I have not seen any attempt to respond to this ongoing issue for years. Plans were made to redo the parking lot 3 years ago and address the drainage problems, but nothing has been done. Need there be a major injury or lawsuit before action is taken? LCI please investigate.
We recently demolished the two properties at the top of the street, flattened the land and made it available for parking to help solve the parking issue.
I'm not entirely sure what the plan was for repairing the previously established parking lot, but I can find out.
The parking lot lake flows into my yard every time it rains and is destroying my landscape and has been rotting my fence that sits in standing water. During heavy rain the lake floods my back yard and then creates a waterfall running down my steps to Q ave. It has also been eroding my retaining wall in front. I have an engineer inspecting it this week. The building department is now calling my wall a hazard. I have sent photos and videos of this to our former alder and left messages with Mr. Clark for several years, without major property damage my complaints seem not to be a priority. But the damage is being done.
