I've lived in Saratoga for nearly 10 years and I live near that intersection and use it all the time. I've never once seen that happen. If this is a one-time incident, I don't think it warrants a "fix it" posting.

There are 3 lanes for northbound traffic: Left turn lane for West Ave., center main traffic lane, and right lane which ends. The major, and common, problem I have observed is that the drivers in the right lane fail to observe the "merge left" sign. Subsequently they are in the intersection and suddenly cut off the drivers in the main (center) traffic lane.

Lou is right. The merge sign is there indicating that people need to merge into the center lane. I suggest a sign saying "RIGHT LANE ENDS" to alleviate the problem. Some people can't interprete symbols and need a worded message.

I suggested a "Right Lane Ends" sign but the next time I drove that location I discovered that sign already exists! What else can be done except painting warning arrows that point left on the right lane as it ends?
