On Sunday mornings, late at night and other odd hours, the traffic light sequence at Patterson and Three Chopt works like this: 1 minute for southbound traffic on Three Chopt; 1 minute for northbound traffic on Three Chopt; 30 seconds for left-hand turns on Patterson; and 1 minute for through traffic on Patterson. So if you just miss your light, you have to wait 2.5 to 3 minutes, basically for no one. It's very, very annoying, particularly since this has been reported on Street Beat and the City refuses to do anything about it.
