I live on the corner of hooker and Jefferson Ave. We need a light or at least a blinking light so people are aware that a school and a very busy bike path are in the area. This busy walk way leads right to the nicest park on the water, in Macomb County but people are afraid to use it due to the exccessive speeds. My heart jumps every time a see a child on their bike or a family with a stroller trying to cross the street to the bike path on the water side. We need to see more police presence and perhaps more tickets given out, Maybe the Chesterfield police could be on bikes themselves. we could really use bike patrols in the area for the neighborhood families that use this area. Besides with the price of gas-it could save the township some money.
