Description
Tired of hearing dirt bikes ripping up and down the power lines on weekend mornings. Tired of the 4WD trucks that think it's ok to drive up the power lines at night then park and party in the woods making all sorts of noise and leaving their garbage all over the place. Tired of driving up Arbutus and seeing trucks parked at the gates ( you know - the gates they drive around -- the ones that are supposed to keep them OUT) with kids hanging out and making noise.

Who ever started this complaint has little to no sense about this situation....
In the State of Connecticut there are no " Leagal designated riding area "... There for if you live in the country.. or in a wooded area you have to assume that ATV riding is going to take place.. I have riden out there many times and we don't hang out buy the houses or the road so you can't tell me you hear me all day long.... Maybe when I first go in but that is it..
And to the poster who say he has property that runs under the power lines your full of crap... That is CL&P's property yours just buts up against it...
If there are " Kids " partying at night then I agree they shouldn't be there..
But I will be as quiet as I can like always.. I don't like to be a bather I just wanna ride

I actually own KissMyDiff and this subject was brought to my attention.
I suppose i understand why our name was brought up as people see our stickers on many big trucks all over and in the related area, and one of our outstanding members who does quite a bit for the club lives just off arbutus st next to randolph so our trucks are seen there often.
But to be honest we have never taken our trucks in the area that you are talking about, i dont even know if there is anything in there, we are a club mostly geared toward rock crawling and we have a couple great spots that we like to go to nowhere near the area you are talking about.
Also, the member i spoke of owns several lots on arbutus st and several back lots up near the new houses that we are welcome to use thus giving us no reason to use the said power lines.
Feel free to look at our website as there are videos and pictures of us off-roading in several places that will not look familiar to you, also i dont think you will see any trucks of ours that you recognize as being the problematic ones.
Our club looks to keep a good status in the public eye and try to do positive practices to stay that way.
The fact of the matter is that you say you seem to, as another poster well put it, "kids" who go party there at night, fires ect. Well i would have to agree with you, instances just like this give all the average off-road joes in my club a bad name and makes it harder and harder to do what we love. Often times the "kids" who are doing these things smash bottles and leave wood, nails and screws from pallets where they have their fires which obviously are harmful if run over. My club makes it a point to spend time every time we are on trails to clean up what we can even if it includes other peoples trash, as it will make it safer for us, and other people.
Young kids do join our club but usually never stick around very long or are given the ability to buy stickers or anything to put on their truck, if they did get ahold of one and have it on their truck, take a picture and send it over to me, i will take care of it.
I really hope this clears up any problems and puts your mind at ease about our club and its practices.
Thanks,
Cory

As another member of kissmydiff I can assure you that we are not the party responsible for the concern's written by the original. We are a group of respectful young adults. We have our own property and locations far away from any houses that we enjoy our passtime at.
When we are out as a group we are not drinking or partying, we are there for the outdoors, friends and challenge. We are always picking up the trash from the kids who do unfortunately party and unfortunately trash areas. We put a positive public image for the offroad community out there. Even taking part of local community events with boyscouts.
It is unfortunate that we get group into an irresponsible and troublesome crowd when we are not the responsible party. I hope that the issue can be resolved in a positive and productive manner. Thank you, Mike

I actually live right NEXT to the power lines on Arbutus Street.
It is NOT uncommon to see/hear 4WD trucks driving up into the area at night OR to hear dirt bikes early on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Oh and by the way - I didn't notice anywhere in the original complaint where the name kissmydiff was mentioned. Maybe some people should read more carefully before they respond.
