Description
On or About 92 Jewett St There is a tiny home/business with a 2 car garage that seems to have escaped the blight office. Ever since I was a child growing up in Ansonia this place has been left to rot. I just looked on the city parcel map and the place does not even show up so it may be part of 90 Jewett St. One garage door is falling off the frame and is so rotted it has holes at the bottom so you know animals are living in there. Jewett St is already fairly a rough looking street so why hasn't the city done something about cleaning up this place???

It is UNACCEPTABLE that the blight officer is not routinely traveling the streets of the city (one area a week perhaps?) looking for blighted properties and then notifying owners.
The role of the blight officer is NOT to sit in an office and wait for residents to do his/her job in uncovering blight unless it happens to be downtown and they see it on their way to work!
While the goal is to clean up properties, Ansonia also would make a small fortune from blight fees to owners who don't respond... which is perfectly legal. Why the city is not PROACTIVE all over escapes logic.

SPECIAL TREATMENT. Just found this post from you:
"i called click fix and asked them why so many issues from 2010-2015 left on the site they told me they dont have time to close the issues.she told me to type closed in the comment section.and wait 7 days and the comment on that thread will be arcived.i cant do it myself there are way to many comments so i am asking for your help.in the ansonia comments there has to be over hundreds even thousands old issues.please type closed and close the older issues so we can get to the newer ones thanks"
PLEASE STOP! You are causing old problem to rise to the TOP of the issues list by posting "CLOSED" to them and new issues are dropping way off the radar. I agree old issues should be purged but what they asked you to do is making a mess and new problem are getting burred under what you are closing from years ago.
No no!
