More power lines should be placed underground in Washington, D.C. I understand that money is an issue. I also understand that it would take a lot of time to put significantly more lines underground in D.C. However, over time it would probably save more energy, more money, more time, and even a few lives (human and animal) if the power lines were secured underground through storms, snow, ice, and anything else that causes suspended lines to go down in our region.
