The Pleasant St side of this property would be a great place for a bike rack. People are locking their bikes to sign posts, small trees, and gas meter pipes. I think this would be great to add here.

I agree. I have been pushing the City for several years to create a program for installation of bike racks within the city's residential zones. Many commuters leave their bikes chained to posts, where they can easily be stolen.
In addition, there are many people (gardeners, visiting home health aides, clients who visit people who work from home, etc.) who work in our city's residential neighborhoods, and currently have no secure place to park their bicycles, which results in more car traffic.
The most ideal locations for a pilot residential zone bike rack program, in my opinion, would be this area (SoHu), the area around Foster & Nicoll Street in East Rock, and the Winchester-Mansfield Street section of Dixwell.

We will inspect this area to determine if a bike rack can be installed to accommodate residents. Currently, we do not have any racks available at this time but will be placing an order no later than early July.
For additional information concerning bike racks, please refer to SCF Issue # 552115 and review the comments.
Thanks for the post.
