Description
The light is timed incorrectly. The east bound traffic will stop for the red light, but the west bound traffic does not get the red light. It is confusing for east bound travelers trying to make a left turn into Knollwood Pointe Condominium Association. We were told by traffic enforcement that it would be corrected over 6 months ago but it never was. Also why does that light even operate during the summer or on weekends when there is no school?

The light is timed correctly. When a vehicle is detected in the westbound left lane, the conflicting eastbound traffic will be stopped for the left turner. The westbound traffic does not need to be stopped as there is no conflicting movement. Eastbound travelers trying to make a left turn into Knollwood Pointe Condominium Association should be watching for oncoming westbound traffic. There is no traffic signal at the Knollwood entrance. We're not sure who you are referring to by “traffic enforcement” or why they would be promising a “correction.” The light operates during the summer and on weekends when there is no school because it is actuated with cameras and goes red for eastbound 19 Mile traffic when a vehicle is detected in the westbound left turn lane. It will go red for both directions when a vehicle is detected in the high school driveway.
