Description
A new house was recently built at this address which I think is 834 53rd Street. While the new house is welcomed, the site is grossly neglected and is surronded with an ugly green fence behind which lies what looks to be a jungle of over-grown weeds. The front of the lot is completely over-grown with weeds and tall wild bushes which is some cases appear to be as tall as 6 feet. Apart from the new house which looks great the lot is a mess with all types of building materials, a boat and the over-grown weeds/wild plants which are begining to dry out as it gets warmer outside and are creating a fire hazard. This lot truly needs to be cleaned up so that the beauty of the new house can show through. By the way the lot has been over-grown for well over a year which is way beyond a reasonable amount of time for having look it like this. As a resident of the neighborhood I am not only concerend with its unkempt state, I am very concerned about the possiblity of the overgrown, dried out weeds providing foder for a fire. Help please! Thank you.

know the owner too and yes he is a nice guy but like the person who posted said, that lot has been in a state of dis-repair for almost 2 years if not longer. Not only is it a fire hazard but it is most likely attracting rodents etc. which is just as serious. The property needs to be cleaned up by some means! Being an nice guy does cut it when you have an eyesore like that growing and growing! As a matter of fact, we all need to be good neighbors and keep our properties up to par! His property is muddying the efforts of the other residents on the block who work hard to keep their properties clean. As A. suggested it may be a good idea to have the residents of the block/community come out and clean it up as a community but that only works if he/the community is open to it.
