Description
This section of the Contra Costa Canal Trail is full of deep potholes. They either shake up the bikers rather badly, or cause them to cross over to the other side of the trails which frequently leads to close calls, in particular in the curve

I agree with this issue and would expand it to say that the entire Contra Costa Canal Trail from the intersection of the Canal Trail and the Iron Horse Trail near Pleasant Hill Bart all the way down to Citrus Avenue is in BAD need of resurfacing. I stopped rollerblading on it two years ago because the pavement was so poor and I was afraid of my wheels falling into one of the many cracks. It's beyond patch-able and really needs resurfacing -- I think I recall a segment of this section of the trail being resurfaced once in the 20 years I've lived out here and that is all -- the segment directly after crossing Oak Grove heading to Citrus Avenue is tough to even walk on let alone bike or skate. Is this an issue that should be directed to the East Bay Regional Parks?

I kind of figured repaving entire segments would be too much to hope for. Too bad.
