I can't imagine how this intersection could be improved. It's a 4 way intersection with all approaches at right angles to each other. The speed limits are very low and visibility isn't a problem. Why don't you elaborate on your complaint a little (you didn't do anything but whine pointlessly, you gave no ideas or specifics).

Forgive me for "whining pointlessly" about repeated traffic accidents in the same spot. I thought the point of this website was to call attention to dangerous areas - I didn't realize I needed to solve the problem as well. As I have not been personally involved in any of the accidents, I can't tell you what caused them. I can only tell you that they occur, frequently. Perhaps the police and EMTs that respond each time have more information. Maybe they need to put speed bumps on Maple, since the low speed limits you cite are constantly ignored. Maybe the signage needs to be improved, so people pulling out of the Cornucopia parking lot don't turn towards Maple against the tiny one-way section of two-way Church. Whatever the causes, the intersection needs attention before anyone else gets hurt.

It would be interesting to hear whether the historical accidents have been caused by locals or out of towners. It is a rather confusing part of town for drivers unfamiliar with the local roads. More traffic seems to cross Maple Place than drive along it, so the occasional out of towner might presume he can drive faster than warranted.

My DAUGHTER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT THERE. THE VISABILITY FROM ATLANTIC TO ON COMING TRAFFICE FROM MAPLE IS HORRIBLE. I HAVE COME CLOSE SEVERAL TIMES WITH CLOSE CALLS. PARKING IS ALLOWED ON BOTH SIDES AND NARROWS THE ENTRY ONTO ATLANTIC FROM MAPLE.
