Nothing has happened here yet. Please help.

Someone broke into this house Saturday night or sometime Sunday. I went out around 4pm Sunday and the front door was open. I called the homeowners and they said no one was supposed to be there doing anything and that they would come check it out. I looked a couple of hours later and the front door was closed.

This is an ongoing problem at this home now. What can we do to get something done there to resolve this issue?

This has still not been resolved. It is dangerous and needs to be either torn down or repaired.

The city needs to do something about this. This issue was originally reported over a year and a half ago, and still nothing has been done.

First let us apologize for the condition this house. However, we feel the need to explain what was going on. As we all know the house burned, cause of fire lightning strike. After the fire we did remove most anything of value to spare it from the vandals. It then took in excess of 6 months of negotiating with the insurance company to get funds into place to make repairs. Then because there was a lien on the property held by Northwest Georgia Bank, the insurance check was made to both us and the bank. Northwest Georgia Bank then told us they no longer wished to be in this area, and demanded payment in full of the note. This left us zero dollars to make any repairs. Mind you we never missed a payment on this property even after it burned. We pursued this in court to no avail. After searching for funds to make repairs, a grant was finally obtained. The appropriate repairs have been made, it is now one of the best looking houses on the street.
Further, it seems easy for every one to complain, but this house has been repaired for in excess of 6 months now. No one has bothered to post anything about how good it looks now, or even close this issue. Therefore, we are going to leave it open and see if there can be someone positive enough to close this issue as it should be.

This house looks great! And I'm happy to see that the house next door is finally being worked on as well!
