These people on the first floor need to get the boot!!! They are in there early 20's with kids from 1yr to 4yrs old. They live here with Grandmom. They wake up around 3pm and sit outside on the sidewalk in lawn chairs all dam day. They let there kids wonder up and down the sidewalk, in the street, they litter, smoke pot openly, curse so loud i hear it inside my home, and hang out until 1-2am blasting music and yelling. I went to the police station to complain and the cops said they can't do anything. I asked the officer, how many times have the cops been called to 362 n. charlotte? As of Aug 1st, COPS HAVE BEEN CALLED TO THIS APARTMENT 33 TIMES!!!!! They have been called 33x's for assault,drugs, noise violations, endangering the welfare of a child ETC...... People want to know what happened to pottstown, THIS HAPPENED, AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN AND NOBODY CARES!!

We also can not forget about Apt. 3! A lady in her 20's lives here. She has drug dealers living with her. She does not take good care of her child. The child also runs in the street and then she curses at the child. There is a lot of drug activity going on. People coming and going all night long!

I am a homeowner for over 11 years on this block. This apartment building has been a problem for most of these years. Especially with drugs! Us homeowners DO know what's going on! NO, we don't have a life anymore because of all the noise, drugs, fights, uncontrolled children and the fighting, yelling that is keeping us up at night. We have to close our windows so we don't hear them being unrully, LOUD and so we don't have to smell their weed! So, this is our business!! Us TAXPAYERS who pay school taxes(which include their children when they go to school) and property taxes are tired of it and we need to get this problem resolved and kick these people out! We TAXPAYERS can't even sit on our porches because we don't want to smell their weed! If you want this problem to be resolved you need to email Ms. Gerber at mgerber@pottstown.org. She is the Inspections Department Manager. When you email her make sure you tell her that this is a FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT TENANT PROBLEMS. The landlord will have NO choice but to kick them out! The township has the right to make him kick them out because of all the problems at his property! So it doesn't matter if the landlord cares or not about what we have to say. Obviously he isn't going to take care of this situation because he NEVER did before! Maybe a week ago, if that, a man that lives there was beat up by the landlord's tenants friends and had to go to the hosiptal. They attacked him with an object and his face was bloody. Two nights ago there was a shooting at his property! So YES this is OUR BUSINESS!! Us HOMEOWNERS NEED TO GET INVOLVED because if you are a homeowner this means you plan on living in this neighborhood for a very long time! If you want to have a safe and peaceful neighborhood you need to get involved even if you stay anonymous which you can do if you email Ms. Gerber. You can even send her a letter just don't put your address on it but make sure she understands you live on this block.

If he REALLY is your friend then get him to fix it up! We are tired of the B.S. that goes on around this neighborhood because people don't behave like civilized human beings!

Now someone at the apartments painted the street blue with "no parking" and something else that isn't even in front of the driveway! This is graffti and against the law! Don't these renters know (Oh, I forgot, they're renters and don't know the laws or obey them) that they can't do anything about someone blocking their driveway? One of the neighbors' on this street OWN their home and their driveway is always blocked by the people who are buying drugs from this apartment building so I don't care if they are blocked in! Only the person that lives in the rear can park in the driveway, not the other people. Maybe if the landlord would make the backyard a parking lot there would be less cars on the street and we wouldn't have to see the drugies! They can keep all their baggies back their with their kids so their kids are at risk and ours won't be!

Here we go again! The weather is nice and we're going to have the same problems again!! In the winter they stay inside but as the weather breaks the activies start again. Is it going to take us until October for someone in the borough to do anything again?? It takes the neighbors all spring and summer to get someone's attention in the borough and by the time they get around to our neighborhood the troublemakers are inside! I am tired of the people at borough hall telling us not to complain on the Mercury's website, instead give them a call and let them know what's going on! Why?? Nothing is done by the Codes Department or the police. They should have been kicked out last summer according the disruptive code ordinances. Instead, the slumlord being forced to kick them out, he gets a warning!!! Let's keep sending in the formal complaints to the code enforcer this summer, maybe they will get tired of hearing from us and do something. Also send your formal complaint to the borough manager and the mayor.

Mr. Burton - The neighbors on this block have done everything including writing formal complaints to Ms. Gerber. It's to the point now where I actually have a binder with all the codes that are being broken by the landlord not doing anything. According to the codes they could make the landlord kick these people out because of their actions but of course they are still living here. Nov, 2010 my one neighbor contacted Mr. Bobst with all our complaints and pictures of spray paint in the street and also used to make a hopscotch on the sidewalk for their children. He responded and told my neighbor that he would get the maintance people out here to power wash everything and it would be done by the following week. It was never done! He also said he will have the codes department come out to make sure the apartment building was up to code. Mr. Bobst also said he was going to contact the Mont. County to see if anyone was on Section 8 and Welfare. Mr. Bobst put the landlord on notice because of everything going on at his property. The police said they couldn't really do anything because when they show up to investagate everyone runs away or they don't find anything. I told my husband I would rather sell my house and live in a tent then live in this neighborhood or even Pottstown itself! We wish we could sell but as you know, we wouldn't get what the house was worth. I rather rent then own my home because I'm tired of paying for everyone else. We even went to the council meetings and every other meeting they had about drug dealers in our neighborhood. If you have any other suggestions we would appricate it.

here a suggestion i don't know if it will work but i would contact the tv media they have all these codes and say that there going too enforce it if you have a copyof the codes call or email fox 29 and channel 6 tell them and have the codes and see if they can help it apparently bobst doesn't care about any way of live we're like you and trying to move out of this GREAT(LOL) town hope this might give you a little relieve
