this has got to be one of the worst bridges I have ever seen!the county doesnt even try to maintain it and only in the last couple of months did they finally clear the salt/sand from winter
Thank you for noting this. The Glasco Turnpike/Plattekill Creek Bridge is listed on the County's Draft Transportation Improvements program for replacement. The process is scheduled to begin, tentatively, in 2014 with the construction phase in 2016. YOu can view the County's Draft TIP at: http://www.co.ulster.ny.us/planning/tip.html
What is the maximum weight allowed to be going over this bridge? It seems like every time a max weight sign is put up, it mysteriously disappears? Is it safe for loaded dump trucks and tractor trailers to go over? Better yet, is it safe for them to sit and wait on the bridge while the traffic is at a stand still? That's a lot of weight.
"The process is scheduled to begin, tentatively, in 2014 with the construction phase in 2016" - So this is the reason that our roads and bridges are in such bad shape?? It takes from 2014-2016 to get the job started and then after two years of getting ready, then they actualy start construction.
WOW that is some kind of system you have. Thank you for spending my money wisely, and I thought you were just throwing it around. I will pass your system of functionality around to different businesses to see if they can incorporate it into their practices.
Maybe McDonald's will adopt it. I order my Mac and fries in 2014 and they start cooking it in 2016 and then I receive it in 2018 at a cost of $313, 000. If it works for the government "IT HAS TO BE RIGHT!" right??
