Description
Every morning the traffic is backed up on Squantuck Rd. about a half mile m This light is long overdue There have been many accidents and near misses there. The light could be put on caution after ten at night and turned on at 6 am.
Trying to make a left hand turn onto Roosevelt Drive from Squantuck can sometimes take 7 or 8 min.

One caveat: If ConnDOT does not agree that signal is necessary, Seymour will have to agree to pay 20% of installation cost (80% will be provided by VCOG thru federal transportation funds) and 100% of operating (electrical) and maintenance costs.

As Planner stated to you 6 months ago:
Formal Request must be made to Seymour Traffic Commission, they must request signal installation from regional planning organization (Valley Council of Governments) who will schedule funding w/ ConnDOT.
