Yesterday while walking my dog in Dexter Field Park I got pegged by a soccer ball. I did not say anything to the kids playing..was just happy my dog was not hit instead. Less than five minutes later I see two elderly woman nearly get hit by the same flying soccer ball. This time I grabbed the ball and advised the youth I would call the police as no one wants to play dodge ball while walking in the park. Furthermore I have noticed much of the trash in the park is left behind by these kids playing ball in the park (water bottles, food wrappers, etc) The grass and grounds are being destroyed by their ball playing, The dog park fence is bent and broken in many places as these kids kick their ball against the fence. I want it stopped. There is a sign clearly posted that soccer ball playing is not allowed in this park. Now is the appropriate time to enforce this rule.
