Description

When traveling westbound up the hill on NY Route 7, "Speed Limit 55 Ahead" signs are needed, to warn motorists that the speed limit is reduced to 55 MPH from the 65 MPH zone behind them.

All branches of the Exit 7 ramps, as well as the stretches ahead on Interstate 87 (the Adirondack Northway) are 55 MPH, but many motorists do not know this, and drive much too quickly in this area. It is very dangerous.

Attached is a sample picture of the signs that are needed here. The ones presently located there are inadequate, and do not alert drivers far enough in advance of the speed reduction.
