Description
We on Kinney St are fed up with the house at 730 Kinney. These young grown ups (19 y/o) sleep all day and are up all night long. Drug activity has been witnessed in the street, in the driveway, in the yard. Calls to the PPD are ignored or just forgotten. Who can we call for help?? The parents of the one "child" have moved away and left us on the street to babysit these hoodlums. They have pit bulls which they kick and drag around, a rabbit they leave out in a 10 gallon tank to bake in the driveway all day without food/water (call to animal control has gone unanswered AGAIN!!). These kids "claim" they are all related but they are not. I know for a fact none of them are brother/sister/cousins/father/mother..etc etc. They say this to avoid housing commission coming down on them for renting out the house illegally. I have videos and pictures I'll happily send along to whoever would like to help us in this fight.

Just this evening the police were chasing a car in a high speed pursuit and the car stopped in front of this house, a teenager jumped out, the car sped off again with the police in pursuit still. The teenager that jumped out hid in this house for about an hour until he was sure the police were long gone and then jumped into another car and drove off. The "occupants" of this house KNEW the kid, told him to hide in the house and look upon us all like WE are the bad guys. I'm not into hiding convicts and criminals thank you!!!
And the police want this info??? NOPE!! They could care less!!

try calling Michigan Humane Society or Animal Care Network about the abuse of the animals. As far as the people I feel for you and hope you get some answers and help...soon.

Have you tried talking with the Police Chief or taking the issue to the City Council?

Guess they were "tipped" off. The have moved!! Packed up the house yesterday and haven't seen them since. They moved either to Blaine or further down Kinney as they were walking their belongings out of the house and weren't gone long before they came back for another load.

the important thing is they're gone, that's a good thing, now they're someone else's problem.

as of this moment in time, the occupants of the house have moved further down the road. There are some kids hanging out around the house but have seen no drug dealing in front of the house in the past week or so. Will report if the crew returns again.
