Description

After trying for years to get DeKalb to address the lack of proper slope in the street in front of our house, they finally came out to look at the problem just before the vote for cityhood. They made a plan, marked up the road, manhole, and curb and promised they would get right on it. Of course as soon as we voted to control our own fate they abandoned us. Their plan was to lower the road and replace the curb so the water drained properly to the curb inlet instead of down our driveways and yards. To their benefit they did place some asphalt at the head of our neighbors drive, but nothing else.
