I suspect that the northbound stop sign and the lack of a southbound one have something to do with the traffic pattern around Emmett O'Brien high school; that's why I also suggested warning signs. When I learned to drive, I was taught not to assume that other directions should stop unless I could see an octagonal shaped sign on their side. Maybe that's not taught any more?

What is needed in front of Emmet O'brien school is parking for student dropoff & pick up on SCHOOL PROPERTY, when school is let out ,cars are parked on both sides of Prindle and with the road itself being narrow , it is a big safety factor for traffic to get by.

Starting from the bottom of Hill St., which turns into Prindle Ave. at the top of the hill, there are NO stop signs until the intersection with Pulaski Highway. Some drivers use this stretch as a raceway, traveling well in excess of the 25 mph speed limit--much faster even than 40 or 50 mph. That is another issue, but I bring it up here because your comment would lead others to believe that Prindle is weighed down with stop signs at every corner when that is not the case. Someone did see fit to put a stop sign on northbound Prindle at the intersection with Ford, and it still seems to me that a stop sign in the southbound direction would address some of the problems at that intersection.

Another stop sign is not needed, between the school entering and exiting to prindle it will be a nightmare, you will create a 4 way stop that will be more accident prone . north bound on prindle ave from pulasky to hill st there are 3 stop signs that already impede traffic.
