This is typical when there is acident on the interstate, this is a commonly used shortcut for PM rush HR motorist

There was no accident on the interstate as I traveled it as well during this time frame

Unfortunitly this is still nothing more than a short cut non residents use, traffic on Edmondson Pike is backed up as well heading south to OHB during PM if they would all use the interstate we could both make it home sooner.

30 mintues to get from Trousdale to Edmondson Pke on Blackman Rd. This is absurd. If there is this much volume on this particular street, why isn't it widened? I feel for those that are involved in accidents and need emergency vehicles' help, they would never get the help they need because the fire trucks or ambulances can't get to them.

I thought that the light had been fixed but the past week, it's taken me at least 20 minutes to get from Timberhill to Edmondson Pk. On Monday and Tuesday (4/18 & 4/19) as I inched closer to the light, I noticed only 4 cars were making it through the light before it changed to red again. So, no, it's not fixed yet.

Apparently it was fixed or you would not have waited 8 months to comment again, traffic changes for several reasons and computors will continue to fail. I'm sure it will be repaired if that's the case.

I stopped commenting for a while because I felt it was falling on deaf ears

The light appears to be letting 7 cars through now compared to the 4 it was letting through a month ago.

I'm not sure if this has been fixed or not. Just the other day, it took me 12 minutes to get from Danby to Edmonson Pike. It's somewhat ridiculous that it takes that long.

yesterday afternoon, it took me 13 minutes to get from Danby on Blackman, to Edmonson Pike. That's obsurd.

This issue has not been resolved.

Beth, exactly what do you think was the hold up, was it the traffic light again? Is it always this bad in the afternoon?

I'm not sure what the hold up is. It's almost like the light isn't long enough to let anyone through it.

Beth, there is 70 seconds of green allocated for that approuch, it only takes one person not paying attention allowing a gap in the traffic, when this happens the detection thinks traffic has cleared. I will go out there and monitor the situation for you. I understand your frustaration, if the above is the case I will adress that problem with a TOD overide.

I was off work last week and am just now returning, I will have to pay attention to the timing as I head that way home.

One day last week, Wednesday or Thursday, Blackman was backed up all the way to Trousdale. There was no wreck or an impaired vehicle. It took me 30 minutes to get to Edmonson Pk. I just don't understand.

It is still backing up to Danby, I guess people aren't paying attention to the light and going when they are suppose to, I don't know what the problem is.

It took me about 15 minutes to get from Danby to Edmonson Pike.

It is still about the same, however, some days appear to move smoothly and others are a cluster of backups.

I requested and just recieved traffic counts and hope to make futher adjustments, it may be one of thoughs locations that just has too much volume for the existing conditons to handle.

One day last week, Tuesday, I believe, I sat from Briarwood all the way to Edmondson Pike, the weather was nice, no rain and not an accident. It took me roughly 23 minutes to get to the traffic light.

I just walked in the door (5:22 pm, 4/10/12) and it took me exactly 23 minutes from Briarwood to Edmondson Pike, inching down Blackman.

This still backs up. I guess this is just a heavily traveled road and I might have to find an alternative, longer way to get home.
