Speed limit is 25 mph but 50 or 60 mph is an everyday occurance. School buses from Ashley Park Elementary even run the stop sign here. Speed Humps would definately help. Hopefully CMPD can do a speed and safety study here. Children's safety is at risk !!

This happens in the entire area of Ashley Park, have sent emails to several people with Charlotte DOT ( who is in charge of studies, to get speed humps) and also to CMPD Captain Bellamy ( bbellamy@cmpd.org ) seems there is not "enough" traffic to justify putting speed humps in area or to put speed enforcement officers in area. Guess it will take getting a child injured or killed before anything is done.
If CMPD would watch the corner of Lumina Ave and Marlowe or the corner of Lumina Ave and Ashley Rd they would very likely write more than 5 or 6 tickets.......
