The City of Oakland Public Works Agency has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 459028. Please check back for status updates or contact us directly at (510) 615-5566.
I saw this doog also. It was tied to a tree on a leash that looked too short to reach the crate for shelter or the food and water bowls. The dog was obviously in distress. Plus, it started raining a few minutes ago,
Why would you post a possible dog in distress on a Public Works web page. This site is not even monitored on nights and weekends. Public works does not have anything to do with animals, dead, alive, or almost dead. This is an animal control issue. Please report this to them directly so they can help the dog. (510) 535-5602. or when they are closed emergencies (510) 777-3333
That acknowledgement is a computerized acknowledgement -- it still has not been looked at by a living person and Public Works has still not sent email to animal control or sent the originator an email telling them to contact animal control directly.
City of Oakland Public Works Agency referred this issue to OPD ANIMAL SERVICES, service request # 459028. Please contact that agency to follow-up. For more information, please visit the "Helpful Links to Other Resource Partners" at the link below.

I no longer have time to do the work that Oakland pays people to do. SCF is an interesting concept but, the PWA and other Oakland departments are too broken to fix these problems. I give up!
