Lot #9 across street from the municiple parking garage.
I put a five dollar & a one dollar bill ($6) in box for my parking spot at about 8:25 am.
A little after 9 am a $20. ticket was issued for my parking spot.
I discovered it on my windshield about 5 pm when i got back to my car. I called the number on ticket, and was told to write a letter stating the facts & enclose ticket. I did so, and then received a phone call saying i had to pay the $20 ticket. Apparently 'they' don't make mistakes.
I have spoken to others about this, and was told that it doesn't do any good to fight it in court...you can't win.
This is so outrageous when law abiding citizens get ripped off. I can't afford to take any time off from work now, so I will pay the ticket, but will never go into downtown West Chester area again.
I am a very upset senior citizen resident of East Bradford.

An unfair parking ticket in West Chester? My god! When did this start!???
Having the pleasure of being frustrated by the rude and unpleasant hens at the Borough Building to fight an unfair parking ticket is a right of passage for those who visit or live in town. I do not know of anyone who has ever successfully argued their case.
So I'm calling this closed. I empathize with you, but you can't fight the system - especially one that is so profitable for the Borough.
