I frequently travel through the Clifton Park/Halfmoon area during the evenings. Virtually each time I go through the intersection of routes 9 and 146, there are Saratoga County Sherrif's cars and other police cars sitting in the parking lot, conducting speed traps illegally on private property at the Firestone Auto Center.

This type of surveillance of the citizens is illegal and violates our civil rights.

While I am in favor of police officials conducting proper, legal patrols where necessary in order to promote safety on our highways, I am not in favor of allowing them to overstep their legal authority by usurping private property to accomplish this.
