What can be done sooner rather than later?

This property in question is in very bad shape and the residents cannot get any help from the Town to have something done even if it just to get cleaned up. The parking lot has grass growing up on it all over as well as the overgrowth of weeds and trees. This building even has trees growing out of the roof. The Town has put in place ordinances in black and white and the residents get warnings, tickets and somethings leins put on their property for grass growing to 10 inches and not being cut but this business has been in violation of these ordinances and the Town (Mayor, Council, Manager, and Code Enforcer) all look the other way. It is a Town where its all about who you know and ordinances are overlooked...This building is a disgrace to the residents as well as the former workers...I am appalled at the total lack of respect for the residents on this issue, some of the residents are 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation and are embarrassed to have friends come to this Town because other than the Main Street, the Park and the newer sections of Pineville, the rest of the Town feels neglected and not cared about....

I total agree with all the comments that has been posted. The Town of Pineville needs to wake up and stop letting Mr. Godley run over them. If my house was vacant for 19 years and looked like the Mill does they would make me do something about it.

I am a resident of the neighborhood around the mill and I agree with the comments that have already been stated. When I give directions to my home, I chose to give a route around the mill as to not be seen. However, many people as far away as Rock Hill tell me they could have found my home easier if I had told them it is near the old run down mill. They then ask me how long has it been abandoned. It is an eye sore to a charming community. The neglect is obvious. The hazards are apparent. Yet, somehow it still exists in a deplorable state. Does the Town of Pineville not recognize the negative publicity this mill causes? Does the Town of Pineville not see the reprocussions of an emergency of any magnitude at this location? A fire? A child hurt? What about the easy question..the effect of this property on the local economy? Please, Town of Pineville, do something about this. It is way over due.

The mill is known as an eyesore of pineville. The place looks like a wreck and the owner does not care. The town of pineville has turned there backs on this for long enough. The town will write tickets for grass that is to high to its citizens, but the mill is exempt. Chrilden have been caught playing in an around these hazardous conditions. The place has trees growing out the building and high grass all over the place. The owner uses the building as storage when it is suppose to be unoccupied. The town knows all of this but has turned there backs. Its time for someone to do something about this.

This property is in deplorable and dangerous condition! The mayor nor any member of the town council will give an explanation for letting it get to this state of disrepair without citing the owner ( 3 Community meetings). The grass on the roof of the building is as high as the grass and bushes growing up in the cracks in the parking lots. If the town wants to make money, this building could be used in the tv show "Life after People". It is disgraceful!!!

This place is still a crap hole so where do you figure it should be closed. The town still hasn't decided to do anything, and now it is even worse. With the owner trying to demolish the building currently it will continue to be a dangerous property until the job is finished.
