NO the guard rail has not been fixed. The only visible change is that some of the warning tape has been removed making the situation even more dangerous. Evidently the people receiving your notices do not pay attention either!
Possibly a picture published in your newspaper or on one of the tv news channels would get results. This problem has been going on for over 6 months.

A story in today's Dallas Morning News said that the guard rail is on order and the city intends to fix this by Aug. 31, weather permitting.

Sept. 02, 2010 - The issue has still not been fixed. Article in this mornings newspaper states that the city is still awaiting repair parts from their vendor. If it is taking this long for a vendor to reply, perhaps the city street department should start looking for a new vendor!

In response to your Sept. 16th e-mail asking if the problem of the broken guard rail has been fixed. Despite the feature in the Dallas Morning News in late August that the situation would be repaired by August 31, weather permitting, THE MISSING GUARD RAIL HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR OVER SIX MONTHS.
WHAT IS NECESSARY AND WHO ELSE CAN BE CONTACTED TO GET STRONGER ACTION?

Guard rails finally fixed last week after being knocked out last February.
