If you think shaving a lane's worth off state land at the Farm Park to add to a state route is the same as "a Wal-Mart in the middle of Valley Forge (National Historical) Park", you desperately need your perspective adjusted.

And it certainly won't take *any* trees, AmissTree. If you're so concerned about greeness, you might think about the fossil fuel burned and carbon emitted while those cars are sitting uselessly idling waiting to get past the light.

I do hope you don't need a quick ride to the new hospital along Whitehall when it's jammed up with that traffic you don't care about. The "cell phone" crack is irrelevant and gratuitous, but does serve to illustrate your contempt for others.

The Farm Park is county property and the county can certainly cut into it for a road, they just built a baseball field around the corner! As for the homeowners along Whitehall Rd. there, I would hope widening wouldn't take from their property, but if it did, they wouldn't have a choice...eminent domain. The backups there are only going to get worse once the hospital is built...more traffic.

newtoyou, it is state property, hence the "State Hospital" that is on the Farm Park property. WhitehallRoad, the "amisstree" has nothing to do w/ trees, but is a play on words- a mystery! Being a state park, using a tiny slice of it to improve safety on a state route should be a no-brainer.

Two weeks ago, my wife was heading home after picking up my son at Whitehall. We live right off Sterigere and Stanbridge,so she had to make that dreaded left turn. You often find yourself praying that someone would at least have a heart and let you turn. When my wife got home, she was very upset nearly in tears. We i asked what happened? She explained that a guy tried to squeeze by her on the right, then got mad and called her a (female dog) when he couldn't get by. It's funny that the home on the corner is for sell, and whoever buys it may have too eventually make due with a little less front lawn.
