Description
The traffic light for the intersection of Rte 110 and the off ramp of Exit 53 Southbound on the Merritt Parkway needs to have the timing fixed to not allow traffic to get backed up at the light in front of Sikorsky's main gate. People are not able to use the Right-on-Green-Arrow at the exit ramp to go right onto Rte 110 during peak hours, which forces a lot of people to speed through the intersection to make the lights, or switch lanes with no notice after going into the wrong turn lane at the ramp to avoid the next light after the Sikorsky entrance where people turn left up the hill. It's a dangerous intersection that needs correcting.

The best way to fix the situation is to have the state DOT put up major sineage saying "DON'T BLOCK THE BOX", paint cross-hatching in the intersection & post a Stratford Cop to ticket offenders. After a few days of that, people will get the idea & not block the intersection. It worked in NYC & Milford by East Town Road & Rt 1.
Don't even try to ask State DOT to reset the lights - their traffic engineers are about as competent as the engineers who oversaw the I-84 construction in Cheshire.
