Description

The storm sewer grate at the corner of Emerick Lane and Briarwood Rd. is the old kind with long slots the width of bicycle tires. It is currently installed so that the slots are parallel with the direction of traffic. This is a potential danger to cyclists who would be more focused on the traffic at the intersection. Can this grate be rotated 90 degrees so the slots are perpendicular to the traffic flow?
8/26 update: despite an email to the Town of Colonie highway dept. and a postive response, nothing has been done.
